Minecraft's 25w06a snapshot introduces exciting new chicken variants, sparking interest among players. This guide details how to locate all three types.

Finding Minecraft's Feathered Friends
Three distinct chicken variations now exist:
-
Warm Chickens: Sporting yellow and orange plumage, these birds blend into warm biomes. Look for them in: Badlands, Bamboo Jungle, Eroded Badlands, Jungle, Savanna, Savanna Plateau, Sparse Jungle, Windswept Savanna, and Wooded Badlands.
-
Cold Chickens: Identified by their blue feathers, these chickens inhabit colder climates. Search in: Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Taiga, Windswept Forest, Windswept Gravelly Hills, and Windswept Hills.
-
Temperate Chickens: The classic white chickens, now renamed "Temperate Chickens," reside in biomes not classified as warm or cold.
Taming and Breeding Chickens
To collect your avian friends, remember chickens aren't tamed traditionally. Instead, lure them with seeds. This will cause them to follow you, allowing you to guide them into a secure enclosure. Repeat as needed. Long journeys back to your base are possible; consider setting up temporary holding pens along the way, especially in Survival mode.
Breeding is straightforward. Feed two chickens of the same type seeds to get an egg that hatches the same type. For a surprise, feed seeds to two different types – the resulting egg will hatch a random variant.
