Apex Legends ALGS Year 4 Championships Head to Sapporo, Japan!
Get ready Apex Legends fans! The ALGS Year 4 Championships are coming to Asia for the first time ever, landing in Sapporo, Japan. This landmark event will run from January 29th to February 2nd, 2025, at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME.
Forty elite Apex Legends teams will compete for the coveted championship title. This marks a significant moment for the ALGS, expanding its global reach to a region with a passionate and dedicated fanbase. EA highlighted the strong Japanese community's desire for a local event, making Sapporo the perfect choice.
"This year will be extra special as we are having our first LAN event in APAC," EA stated in their announcement. John Nelson, EA's senior director of Esports, added, "ALGS has a very large community in Japan, and we have seen many comments calling for an offline event in Japan. That's why we couldn't be more pleased to celebrate this milestone with an offline tournament held at the iconic Daiwa House Premist Dome."
Further details regarding tournament specifics and ticket sales will be released at a later date. Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto expressed the city's excitement, stating, "We are extremely honored that the Daiwa House Premist Dome has been selected as the venue for this global e-sports tournament...The entire city of Sapporo will be supporting your tournament and we would like to wholeheartedly welcome all the athletes, officials and fans."
