How To Break & Repair a Broken Object in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

by Chloe Feb 26,2025

The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents players with rewarding, yet challenging tasks. One particularly tricky challenge involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide provides a straightforward solution.

The Ambassador toilet, a key element in completing the repair challenge.

Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher and then repairing a broken object. The difficulty lies in locating a broken item. Instead of searching, create a broken object yourself.

The most efficient method is to repeatedly use a cheap item until it breaks. The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive option. Using it approximately a dozen times will cause it to malfunction, becoming a "broken object." This can be done by your Sim or by having guests use it.

Repairing the broken object is simple once your Handiness skill reaches level 2. Select the "Repair" option on the broken toilet. After a short time, the repair is complete, successfully finishing the Blast from the Past challenge.
