Wuthering Waves Version 2.0: A New Region and Console Launch
The week has been exciting for Wuthering Waves fans, following the release of version 1.4 with its new Somnoire: Illusive Realms mode and two fresh characters. But the real excitement lies ahead: version 2.0 promises to be the biggest update yet, introducing a brand-new region.
This significant update, announced alongside a Best Mobile Game nomination at The Game Awards 2024, marks a major milestone for the JRPG. Version 2.0 launches January 2nd across all platforms – including a highly anticipated debut on PlayStation 5.
The game's captivating combat, rich setting, and compelling narrative have kept players engaged since its initial release. The action unfolds on Solaris-3, a planet divided into six nations: Huanglong, New Federation, and Rinsascita (among others).
With the Huanglong storyline nearing its conclusion, Kuro Games has confirmed that version 2.0 will introduce Rinascita as a playable region, significantly expanding the game's world and narrative. Expect version 1.4 and subsequent patches to conclude the Huanglong arc.
