Pokémon Go's February Community Day: A Double Feature!
Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! February's Community Day is bringing a double dose of excitement with Karrablast and Shelmet taking center stage. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025.
Spotlight Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet
Prepare for increased wild spawns of Karrablast and Shelmet, boosting your chances of catching these event-exclusive Pokémon. Keep an eye out – Shiny versions might appear! The real reward, however, lies in their evolutions.
Evolving Karrablast during the event (or until 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th) yields an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet within this timeframe grants you an Accelgor with the Charged Attack Energy Ball (a hefty 90 power in all battle scenarios).
Special Research and Timed Research
Participate in the Special Research for encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet featuring special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, a Premium Battle Pass, and a Rare Candy XL. A Timed Research event follows, lasting a week after Community Day. Logging in during the main event unlocks tasks rewarding further encounters with the special-background Karrablast and Shelmet.
