Uncover Master Schindel's Missing Possessions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
This guide helps you complete the challenging "Master Schindel's Toys" side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest becomes available during the main story mission, "Into the Underworld."
The quest begins by locating Goatskin, an informant. Talking to the Bathhouse Madam and then Adam at the bathhouse will reveal Goatskin's involvement in the theft. To find him, you can either speak with Lousy Mary or follow Udo, a bathhouse patron who appears in the evenings. Following Udo is recommended; he'll be robbed by Goatskin in an alley, allowing you to confront him.
Interrogating Goatskin might yield a map ("Map of Kuttenberg Underground") – if not, bribery will work. The map indicates the location of the stolen items at the Kuttenberg gallows.
Locating the Stolen Items
To quickly find the stolen items, locate the ladder leading into the Kuttenberg Underground on the north side of the open area near the gallows. The underground is dark, so bring a torch. Follow a path of mostly left turns, navigating a jump down to a lower level, until you reach a barrel at a dead end. This barrel contains the stolen book and astrolabe.
Return to Master Schindel (usually found northeast of the city during the day) with the recovered items to complete the quest. He'll reward you and may even share some astronomical knowledge.
This short quest offers reputation points and rewards, making it worthwhile despite its tricky navigation.
