Digimon Con set to unveil new project, could a digital TCG be on the way?

by Ava Mar 18,2025

The upcoming Digimon Con 2025 promises exciting news for Digimon fans, with a particular teaser hinting at a significant announcement related to mobile. A cryptic image featuring a confused Renamon and a mobile phone has sparked speculation about a potential digital version of the Digimon TCG.

While a tutorial app already exists for iOS and Android, the timing, following the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket, suggests a full-fledged mobile Digimon TCG might be on the horizon. However, it's important to note that the teaser's connection to mobile could simply refer to the livestream platform, rather than the game itself.

Digimon Con 2025 Teaser

While Digimon holds a dedicated fanbase, it undeniably trails behind Pokémon in global popularity. A digital TCG would present both opportunities and challenges. Success wouldn't be guaranteed, but expanding accessibility through a mobile platform could significantly boost the Digimon TCG's player base.

To find out for sure, we'll have to tune into the Digimon Con livestream later this month. In the meantime, check out our recent game reviews for some exciting new titles to play!
