Microsoft will include Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 5 in Xbox Game Pass, with the Enhanced Edition coming to PC Game Pass on April 15.
Announced in an Xbox Wire post, this standout addition to the April 2025 Wave 1 lineup marks the service's most anticipated title this month. The PC version is particularly noteworthy as it includes the Enhanced update released by Rockstar in early March.
"Players will gain access to *Oscar Guzman Flies Again*, the latest content update featuring new aerial missions from the McKenzie Field Hanger in Grapeseed," Xbox confirmed. "Experience new arms trafficking operations, pilot fresh aircraft, and additional content across all versions."
This represents GTA 5's return to Game Pass after its previous removal, though it's the title's debut on PC Game Pass. The announcement hasn't been universally welcomed by the GTA community.
The March 4 GTA 5 Enhanced PC update introduced new vehicles, Hao's Special Works upgrades, wildlife encounters, and visual improvements. Despite these enhancements, the update became Rockstar's lowest-rated Steam release due to persistent account migration issues preventing GTA Online profile transfers.
New players will enjoy a seamless experience, while returning players attempting to migrate existing accounts to the Enhanced version may encounter difficulties. The migration problems appear unresolved at this time.
