The King of Fighters AFK Adds New Teenage Pop Star Athena Asamiya

Netmarble has launched a significant update for its idle RPG title. The King of Fighters AFK now features Athena Asamiya as a new Legendary fighter, accompanied by various themed events and an abundance of valuable rewards.

Who is Athena Asamiya in The King of Fighters AFK?

The newest addition to the roster is a high school pop idol who utilizes her psychic powers and Kung Fu techniques to promote world peace. Players can attempt to recruit her via the Athena Asamiya Pick-Up Event, which concludes on October 29th.

Simultaneously, the [Endurance] Synergy Pick-Up Summon Event will run until October 29th. This event boosts the drop rates for all players seeking fighters with the [Endurance] Synergy attribute.

Halloween is approaching!

The King of Fighters AFK embraces the Halloween season with the Spooky Night 1 Event, running through November 5th. Daily logins during this period grant seasonal rewards, including a Jack-o’-Lantern profile icon and essential items such as Ruby and Fuel.

Additionally, the Tropical Island Event remains active until October 22nd, offering players a chance to obtain the Legendary pets Anone and Psybunny.

Based on SNK’s legendary The King of Fighters franchise, this idle RPG reimagines the iconic series using nostalgic pixel art reminiscent of The King of Fighters R-2 from the NEOGEO POCKET COLOR era.

The game features popular fighters from the original series, allowing you to assemble a dream team for intense 5v5 battles. Strategic depth is key, as you can mix and match up to 15 different fighters and formations to craft unique deck configurations.
