Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil new facets of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on the diverse village activities available to players. Protagonist Henry will engage in a range of activities, from simple tasks like shepherding and drinking to more complex interactions such as hunting, using ranged weapons (crossbow and bow), praying, and assisting villagers with their problems – even finding antidotes for the injured.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is slated for release on February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently become the target of online activists. Following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, a campaign emerged aiming to cancel the project. Figures like Grummz and others, described as "agenda-driven" campaigners, have fueled public attention on the game.
These efforts intensified after news of a Saudi Arabian ban on KCD 2 spread online, sparking rumors about the game's content and the inclusion of "progressive" elements. Social media users launched attacks against the developers, pushing for the game's cancellation and urging others to withhold funding.
In response to the controversy, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to trust the developers and exercise caution regarding online information, advising against believing everything encountered on the internet.
