The White Wolf returns for his final adventure as production for The Witcher Season 5 is currently underway. Fans have been treated to new photos of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt of Rivia, alongside other familiar faces and some intriguing new characters. These seemingly leaked set photos, shared by the dedicated Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase Hemsworth fully transformed into Geralt with his signature long blonde hair. The images also feature returning cast members like Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, who have been integral to the series since Henry Cavill led the cast. Hemsworth was confirmed to take over the role from Cavill for both Season 4 and the concluding fifth season back in October 2022.

Additionally, set images have surfaced featuring new characters set to debut in Season 4 and continue into the final season, including the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, as Emiel Reigs. These leaked photos hint that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's Tower of the Swallow, where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him toward druids. However, with Season 4 yet to be released, the storyline could take any number of turns before fans can fully piece together the narrative puzzle.
Cavill isn't the only actor to depart the series and have their role recast. Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor and father figure Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement for the role, and there's no official release date for Season 4 as of now.
