Starting January 2026, Sony will phase out PS4 titles from PlayStation Plus Essentials and Game Catalog to prioritize PS5 content.
"While transitioning to PS5 focus, we'll offer fewer PS4 titles for Monthly Games and Game Catalog," Sony stated, clarifying that previously claimed monthly games remain accessible, though Game Catalog titles will follow normal rotation schedules.
"We're enhancing PlayStation Plus with ongoing benefits including members-only discounts, multiplayer access, cloud saves, and new monthly PS5 titles," Sony added regarding their next-generation gaming strategy.
