Second Dinner is leveling up the player experience with a massive new event: a global tournament! The Marvel Snap Golden Gauntlet World Championship Series has just been revealed. This community-driven competition is open to all comers, creating an inclusive battleground for everyone.
Marvel Snap's Golden Gauntlet World Championship Begins August 9, 2025
This exciting series has no rank restrictions or collection level prerequisites. Simply register, join in, and start competing. The first qualifier, Golden Gauntlet Open 1, launches on August 9th and is tailored for the APAC region and the Western United States. It starts at 5 PM PST and will accept up to 1024 participants.
The tournament structure features six Swiss rounds, after which the top 16 players advance to a single-elimination bracket. Achieving a record of 5-1 or better guarantees a coveted spot at the Golden Gauntlet Worlds finals later this year. Registration for this inaugural event opens on July 31st.
Two additional Opens are scheduled for September and October. Golden Gauntlet Open 2 will serve competitors across the Americas, while Open 3 is designed for players in the EU and Eastern US. Marvel Snap will announce the exact dates and registration timelines for these events shortly on the official Discord server.
The Road Leads to the Ultimate Finals
The grand finale, the Golden Gauntlet Worlds, is set for November 8, 2025. More than 300 players who qualified through the Opens will compete in nine intense Swiss rounds. The top 16 from this stage will then proceed to the playoffs. Just like the qualifiers, the top performers will earn impressive prizes.
The entire championship series will be broadcast live on the game's official Twitch and YouTube channels. Best of all, this initiative is completely online, free to enter, and built with the community in mind. There are no hidden costs or exclusive invitations. I can't wait to see how this exciting series unfolds!
