by Henry Sep 30,2025

Physical copies of Monster Hunter Wilds require a 15GB update to play, according to Capcom.

For those who have pre-ordered the digital version, the update is already available for download. This allows players to be fully prepared ahead of the game’s official launch on February 28, as confirmed in a recent social media post by Capcom.

While the update isn’t mandatory for offline play, the advocacy account Does it play?, which supports physical media, noted that the patch addresses several technical and visual improvements that could significantly enhance the overall gaming experience.

Capcom has not yet released official patch notes or detailed information about the specific changes included in the update.
