In the vibrant world of Monster Hunter Wilds, numerous rewarding interactions await. This guide helps you unlock the coveted Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement. While fishing might seem secondary, it's key to this particular challenge, offering a unique questline and the necessary equipment.
Your journey begins with Kanya's fishing quests. Complete these side quests by gathering specific items:
- Seeking the Goldenfish: Catch a Goldenfish in cave pools (Scarlet Forest, Area 6, is a good spot). Use Golden Bughead or Common Wood Minnow bait. Fallow weather increases spawn chances.
- Fishing for Favor: Catch a Gravid Bowfin in the Scarlet Forest base camp during "Plenty" weather. Use the Emerald Jitterbait.
- The Catch of a Lifetime!: Catch any large fish requiring the reeling minigame (a Tuna in Scarlet Forest, Area 17, works well).
After completing these, Kanya assigns the Razzle Dazzle quest, leading to your trophy/achievement. Here's how:
- Go to Scarlet Forest, Area 17. Ensure Downpour weather (use the grill or camp to change conditions).
