Moonstone's Mechanics in Marvel Snap

Moonstone is a 4-cost, 6-power card with the ability: “Ongoing: Has the Ongoing effects of your 1, 2, and 3-Cost cards here.” This makes her highly synergistic with cards like Ant-Man, Quinjet, Ravonna Renslayer, and Patriot. Combining her with Mystique allows for powerful duplication of Ongoing effects, especially those of Iron Man and Onslaught. However, she's vulnerable to Enchantress, which negates lane effects unless countered by Cosmo. Echo is another less common but significant counter for combo-heavy Moonstone decks.

Top Moonstone Decks

Moonstone excels in decks featuring low-cost Ongoing cards. Two prominent archetypes are Patriot and Victoria Hand/Devil Dinosaur.

Patriot Deck:

Wasp, Ant-Man, Dazzler, Mister Sinister, Invisible Woman, Mystique, Patriot, Brood, Iron Lad, Moonstone, Blue Marvel, Ultron. [Untapped link removed]

This deck leverages the Patriot/Mystique/Ultron combo for massive power generation, amplified further by Moonstone. Ant-Man and Dazzler provide additional synergy, while Iron Lad offers card draw. Invisible Woman protects key cards from counters (except Alioth).

Victoria Hand/Devil Dinosaur Deck:

Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Victoria Hand, Mystique, Cosmo, Agent Coulson, Copycat, Moonstone, Wiccan, Devil Dinosaur, Gorr the God Butcher, Alioth. [Untapped link removed]

This deck utilizes the Devil Dinosaur/Mystique combo, enhanced by Victoria Hand's buffs. Moonstone requires strategic placement to maximize synergy with Mystique's copied effect, whether it's Devil Dinosaur or Victoria Hand. Cosmo is crucial for countering Enchantress and Rogue. Copycat is flexible and can be substituted with other 3-cost cards.

Is Moonstone Worth the Investment?

Yes, Moonstone is a valuable addition to your Marvel Snap collection. Her synergy with Mystique creates numerous strategic possibilities, extending beyond the decks listed here. Her impact on the meta is expected to be significant.
