Exclusive Chinese WoW Mounts: Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and Golden Ashes of Al'ar
Two new, exclusive mounts—the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar—are coming to World of Warcraft China. These reimagined versions of the rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar mounts will be available through special promotions starting January 15th.
These stunning mounts represent a significant addition to the game's offerings in China, following the successful re-establishment of the Blizzard-NetEase partnership. The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of the Pureblood Fire Hawk, features auspicious clouds within its wings while soaring, a nod to traditional Chinese symbolism. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded variation of the original, boasts a sleek black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider's iconic quote: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."
Acquisition Details:
The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk is obtainable through a "Treasure Workshop" event, details of which are yet to be fully revealed. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, however, is acquired via Landro’s Loot Box, priced at ¥200 (approximately $27 USD). This loot box offers a chance at one of eight items, including other coveted rewards such as the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the rare Swift Spectral Tiger. Team-based purchasing incentives provide additional loot boxes upon reaching specific spending thresholds.
Regional Exclusivity:
Currently, there's no indication these mounts will be released internationally. While not impossible, players outside of China will, for now, have to appreciate these magnificent mounts from afar.
