Rumor: miHoYo's New Game is A Pokemon and Baldur's Gate 3-Inspired Autobattler

miHoYo, the creators of the popular titles Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, are reportedly developing a new game that may surprise fans. Initial speculation suggested a survival game akin to Animal Crossing or a large-scale RPG comparable to Baldur's Gate 3. However, recent rumors and job listings point towards a different direction entirely—a new entry within the Honkai franchise.

This upcoming title will be an open-world game set in a coastal entertainment town. Players will collect and develop spirits from various dimensions, reminiscent of Pokémon's evolution and team-building mechanics. These spirits will offer unique abilities, including flight and surfing. Interestingly, the game is categorized as an auto-battler or auto-chess title.

This unexpected blend of Pokémon, Baldur's Gate 3, and Honkai elements promises a fresh take on familiar gameplay concepts. While the development timeline remains uncertain, the project aims to expand the Honkai universe in innovative ways.
