Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Unveils Ultra-Thin Design

by Anthony Nov 07,2025

Samsung unveiled its sleek new flagship, the Galaxy S25 Edge, during May's Unpacked event. Though sharing DNA with the standard Galaxy S25 released earlier this year, this razor-thin redesign gives it literal and figurative edge.

On paper, the Galaxy S25 Edge mirrors its Ultra sibling shockingly well - same powerhouse Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, identical 200MP main camera. But Samsung's engineers worked magic trimming its profile down to a mere 5.8mm from the Ultra's chunky 8.2mm frame. That dramatic weight loss brings it down to a featherlight 163 grams.

Interestingly, it packs the same stunning 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X panel as the standard S25 despite housing Ultra-equivalent hardware. Size-conscious users get uncompromised performance without stretching to the Ultra's 6.9-inch footprint.

The elephant in the room? Durability concerns with such an ultra-slim form factor. Samsung counters with next-gen Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 - allegedly tougher than the Ultra's Armor 2 variant. Still, some might wonder how this wafer-thin beauty would fare during accidental pocket-sitting sessions. (Here's hoping they've banished bendgate ghosts forever.)

AI enthusiasts get Samsung's full Mobile AI suite refined since last year's S24 debut. The Snapdragon 8 Elite handles heavy-duty local processing brilliantly for privacy-focused tasks, though some cloud-dependent apps remain. Standout features include handy notification summarization and rapid news digestion - perfect for our attention-deficit era.

Preorders open today at $1,099 (256GB) or $1,219 (512GB), dressed in three elegant Titanium finishes: Silver, Jet Black, or Icyblue. Samsung's betting big on this svelte stunner's resilience - let's cross fingers their confidence isn't misplaced.
