Silksong's "Delicious Teaser" Fools Fans

by Penelope Mar 13,2025

The wait for *Hollow Knight: Silksong* continues, a saga punctuated by the developers' playful teases. After missing its anticipated 2024 release, fans eagerly await news in the current year. Recently, Team Cherry stirred the pot again with a cryptic image—a single cake. This sparked fervent speculation, with some believing it hinted at an elaborate alternate reality game (ARG).

However, the developers quickly quashed those theories, clarifying that the cake photo was simply a playful image, not a complex ARG. But the dedicated fanbase isn't easily dissuaded. Many still cling to the belief that Team Cherry has something more up their sleeves, perhaps a full game presentation in April.

In the meantime, development continues, and the release date remains shrouded in mystery. The original *Hollow Knight*, a critically acclaimed action-adventure game from Team Cherry, set a high bar. Players control a silent knight exploring the interconnected world of Hallownest, a decaying underground kingdom brimming with challenging battles, intricate puzzles, and a rich, captivating lore.
