Ubisoft has confirmed that Star Wars: Outlaws will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, though it won't be a launch title when the console releases on June 5. Instead, the space adventure will arrive a few months later on September 4.
For those who missed it on PS5, Xbox, and PC, Star Wars Outlaws takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It follows Kay Vess, a small-time criminal who ends up with a cartel death mark on her head. Our reviewer scored it a 7, calling it "a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, though let down by basic stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch."
Beyond reconfirming the game’s arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 and the updated release date, Ubisoft shared few details—but at least we can now update the Switch 2 Games List. With American and Canadian gamers stuck in pre-order limbo while Nintendo gauges the impact of new tariffs introduced by the Republican administration, any update on upcoming Switch 2 games offers a welcome distraction.
The news was revealed during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, where Ubisoft also previewed the second story pack for Star Wars: Outlaws, titled A Pirate’s Fortune. In this expansion, Kay Vess teams up with Hondo Ohnaka to take down Stinger Tash, leader of the Rokana Raiders. Star Wars: Outlaws – A Pirate’s Fortune launches on May 15.
