Valheim's New Biome: First Creature Unveiled

Valheim

Iron Gate Studio has unveiled a charming new entry in their developer diary series, giving Valheim players a delightful sneak peek at the highly anticipated Deep North biome. The star of the show? Incredibly cute seals—almost too adorable to hunt!

The frosty landscapes of The Deep North update introduce seals with varying appearances and resource yields. Horned or spotted seals, for example, offer richer rewards than their standard counterparts, adding a layer of strategic depth to the hunting experience.

Interestingly, Iron Gate is taking a unique approach to teasing this update. Instead of relying on traditional trailers, they've opted for a captivating narrative-driven video series following the adventures of Hervor Blood Tooth as she braves the Far North. Each episode subtly reveals details of the new biome, showcasing stunning visuals like snow-covered shores and breathtaking auroras.

While an official release date for The Deep North remains unannounced, this update is anticipated to introduce the final biome to Valheim, potentially marking the game's transition out of early access.
