Warframe Android Closed Beta Launch Imminent

Warframe, the multiplayer action RPG shooter from Digital Extremes, arrived on iOS in February 2024. Following its successful release, the game opened pre-registrations on Android. Now, Warframe is preparing for its first closed beta test on the Android platform. The wait is finally over!

What to Expect from the Warframe Android Closed Beta

The news was officially announced on Day 2 of TennoCon 2025. The beta is planned for a Fall 2025 rollout. Mirroring the earlier iOS beta process, Digital Extremes will send invitations to the email address linked to your Warframe account.

Therefore, if you don't have one yet, be sure to create a Warframe account. You can visit the official website to log in or sign up for a new account and pre-register for the game.

Gaining access to the closed beta grants you the complete Warframe experience. Players have several exciting features to anticipate. Controller support is confirmed for a wide range of devices. Compatible Bluetooth gamepads include the DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller, alongside USB options like the Razer Kishi or Backbone.

Some limitations will be in place for the test, however. Cross-platform play and in-game voice chat will not be available. Additionally, unlike the main PC and console versions, the Android closed beta will have no monetization or real-money purchases.

Please note that once the testing phase concludes, all player progress will be reset. Nothing achieved during the beta will transfer over to the official mobile launch.

Looking Forward to Warframe on Android?

First announced for mobile devices in 2021, Warframe is a popular third-person shooter. The game features 5 major expansions and over 30 story-driven quests. Players can unlock more than 57 distinct Warframes and venture across a vast solar system. It will be free-to-play.

You can now pre-register for the game via the Google Play Store. Doing so will reward you with the Cumulus Collection when you log in after the official Android launch.
