Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix: How to Get Them in Pokemon Sleep

by Alexander Apr 03,2025

Get ready, *Pokemon Sleep* enthusiasts! The winter holiday event of 2024 promises to bring joy and excitement with the debut of two adorable new Pokemon: Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. Joining the festive lineup alongside Eevee in a Santa hat, these newcomers will surely add a delightful twist to your sleep tracking adventures.

When Do Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokemon Sleep?

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix will make their *Pokemon Sleep* debut during the December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, scheduled for the week of December 23. This event not only introduces these new Pokemon but also offers various bonuses to help players in their sleep research and the acquisition of bonus Dream Shards. The highlight, of course, is the increased chance of encountering Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix during the event week. As with all debuting Pokemon in *Pokemon Sleep*, their Shiny versions will be available from the start.

Pawmi will start appearing at 3 PM on December 23. You can find it on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant, with a boosted chance during its debut event. Pawmi, along with its evolutions Pawmo and Pawmot, belongs to the Snoozing sleep type. While you can evolve Pawmi into Pawmo and Pawmot using Candies, studying their sleep styles is only possible when encountering them in the wild.

Players aiming to encounter Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot should aim for a Snoozing sleep type during their Sleep Research. This type represents a light sleep, which is easier to achieve than the more superficial Dozing type, as it reflects the most common way many of us rest. The Balanced Sleep Type, which evenly combines traits of all three sleep types, may also attract Pawmi, though the odds are lower due to the division among the sleep types.

Alolan Vulpix will also begin appearing at 3 PM on December 23, but it's more elusive, appearing only at Snowdrop Tundra. Both Alolan Vulpix and its evolved form, Alolan Ninetails, belong to the Slumbering sleep type. To boost your chances of encountering these ice-type Pokemon, you'll need to achieve a deep sleep that lasts at least 8 hours, a challenging feat for many.

Like Pawmi, Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails can also appear with the Balanced Sleep Type, though this is less common.

Which Island Should You Choose for The Holiday 2024: Double Dream Shard Research Event?

For the best chance to encounter both Alolan Vulpix and Pawmi, head to Snowdrop Tundra during the Winter Holiday 2024 event in *Pokemon Sleep*. This is the only island where both Pokemon can be found. Be prepared, though; Snowdrop Tundra can be challenging due to high team requirements. It's advisable to train your Snowdrop team in advance to fully enjoy this winter event.

*Pokemon GO is available on iOS and Android.*
