Stalker 2

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, letting players tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with enhanced stats and modifications exist, and the Cavalier sniper rifle is a prime example. This unique weapon, featuring a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, excels in close-to-medium range engagements. Here's how to acquire it.

Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle

The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You might already be familiar with this area if you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash. Access is easiest via the secondary entrance.

Accessing the Warehouse

Upon entering the Duga base, navigate towards the Military Unit (marked on your map). Circumvent the building itself to reach the rear greenhouse. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling this area; they're hostile. Proceed cautiously to avoid confrontation.

Once inside the greenhouse, you'll enter the warehouse. Be prepared for a rat infestation upon entry; these will damage your health. Utilize the elevated platforms at the warehouse's rear for cover. A grenade can quickly eliminate the rodent threat.

Retrieving the Cavalier

With the rats dispatched, focus on the warehouse ceiling near the greenhouse entrance. You'll see yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon; the Cavalier sniper rifle will fall.

Collect the weapon and safely exit the Duga base. The Cavalier can then be upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced through upgrades and modifications. For players who prefer red-dot sights over scopes on their sniper rifles, the Cavalier is an excellent choice for close-to-medium range combat.
