AFK Journey Tier List
It's important to note that most AFK Journey heroes are usable. However, some significantly outperform others in challenging endgame scenarios.
This tier list prioritizes versatility and performance across PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters
Lily May, a recent addition, is a must-have Wilder character, offering significant damage and utility. She excels in PvP (countering Eironn teams), PvE, and Dream Realm.
Thoran remains the best F2P tank, particularly useful while building Phraesto. Reinier is a top support, crucial for PvE and PvP (Dream Realm and Arena).
Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for most game modes. Odie is vital for Dream Realm and all PvE. Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a powerful Arena team.
Tasi (added November 2024) is a versatile Wilder character, excelling in most modes except potentially Dream Realm (though this may change). Harak (also November 2024) is a powerful Hypogean/Celestial warrior whose strength increases with each kill.
A-Tier Characters
Lyca and Vala effectively utilize Haste, a crucial stat. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own with each marked enemy kill. Lyca’s PvP performance can be inconsistent.
Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran. Viperian complements Graveborn teams with energy drain and AoE attacks, though less effective in Dream Realm.
Alsa (added May 2024) is a strong DPS mage, particularly effective with Eironn in PvP. Phraesto (added June 2024) is a durable tank, but lacks damage. Ludovic (added August 2024) is a strong Graveborn healer, synergizing well with Talene and excelling in PvP. Cecia, while a good Marksman, has decreased in value due to newer characters and meta shifts. Sonja (added December 2024) provides significant damage and utility to the Lightborne faction.
B-Tier Characters
B-Tier characters are suitable for filling roles but warrant less investment. Valen and Brutus are good early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie is a decent alternative tank if Thoran or Antandra are unavailable. Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays but less useful in other modes. Florabelle (added April 2024) is a secondary DPS, but requires significant investment. Soren (added May 2024) is decent in PvP but not optimal elsewhere. Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has decreased.
C-Tier Characters
C-Tier characters are outclassed quickly after AFK level 100. Parisa, while offering early-game AoE control, should be replaced as soon as possible.
This tier list is subject to change as new heroes are added and existing ones are adjusted.
