Ubisoft has officially announced the global release times for the highly anticipated game, *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. In a departure from their usual practice, this title features a unified release date across all platforms, with no option for early access through additional payments. The game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at 12am local time on March 20. However, PC players should note different release times depending on whether they purchase the game on Steam or Ubisoft’s own platform, Ubi Connect. Pre-loading is currently available on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
The release of *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* comes at a critical time for Ubisoft, following a series of delays and the underwhelming sales performance of last year's *Star Wars Outlaws*. The company has faced significant challenges, including high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations leading up to this launch. The pressure is on for *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* to perform well and rejuvenate Ubisoft's fortunes.
