NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to heavy hitters such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique to the game, but one stands out for Square Enix fans: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and key stats.
Where To Find The Engine Blade In NieR: Automata
The Engine Blade is located within the factory area, but not accessible during the game's opening sequence. You'll need to progress to a later point in the game as 2B. Alternatively, Chapter Select (Chapter 9) provides quicker access. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.
Exiting the access point room, take the right path (2D camera perspective). You'll pass a fenced area, ascend broken stairs, and navigate conveyor belts with moving boxes and potentially lethal presses. After crossing the press-laden belt, climb to a cylindrical area with spider-like enemies.
Enter the door on your left, climbing more stairs while dodging exploding enemies. Midway, the railing ends, and the platform extends towards the camera. Proceed to trigger a 2D platforming section, traversing the tops of presses to the left. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest.
Caution: Exploding enemies will descend from the ceiling as you approach.
Engine Blade Stats In NieR: Automata
- Attack Power: 160-200
- Combo: Light 5, Heavy 3
This weapon boasts four upgrade levels, culminating in a 7-hit light combo (requires finding Masamune). Unlike the Iron Pipe's inconsistent damage, the Engine Blade offers more predictable damage output.
