Just one month post-launch, and already included in Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a celebratory trailer for Avowed. This new video features glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, emphasizing the action-RPG's warm reception.
The latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, incorporating Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advancements significantly enhance performance, with NVIDIA reporting up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving as high as 340 FPS. The developers have also hinted at forthcoming announcements about the game’s future support and roadmap in the coming weeks.
This update goes beyond technical enhancements, also enriching the player experience. Players will now gain an extra talent point every five levels, with those who have already progressed receiving these points automatically upon game load. Keyboard and mouse users can now switch between walking and running, and a new accessibility feature increases font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game texts.
While Avowed hasn't left critics entirely speechless, it has still received robust reviews. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a notable achievement from Obsidian.
