First Bird Pokémon Arrives in Pokémon GO During Catch Mastery Event!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to with several exciting events on the horizon. The game is currently bustling with activities like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, and now, the Catch Mastery event is set to add even more excitement as a part of the Might and Mastery celebration.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, giving players a fantastic opportunity to encounter this prehistoric creature. During the event, you'll see more wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and you might even spot their Shiny variants.

Archen won't just be appearing in the wild; it will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering a Shiny Archen. To sweeten the deal, the event offers double XP for Nice Throws or better and for Curveball Throws, making it an excellent time to hone your catching skills.

Additionally, the event includes Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, resulting in a total of 40 Archen encounters. It's a great chance to add this unique Pokémon to your collection.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently have access to this move, which packs a punch with 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

To make the most of the Mega Absol Raid Day, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20 from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT. You'll also have the chance to collect up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing for a total of six Raid Passes for the day.

If you haven't yet, be sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun. And before you go, don't miss out on our coverage of the St. Patrick’s Day event in Watcher of Realms, where you can enjoy the Four-Leaf Clover’s Song event.
