Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Launches New Double XP Event for January 2025

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is treating players to a Quad Feed Double XP event, running until January 21st, boosting progress in account levels, weapon experience, Battle Pass progression, and GobbleGum acquisition. This coincides with the 115 Day celebration honoring the Zombies community.

Treyarch, in recognition of 115 Day (a significant number in the Zombies lore), is showcasing fan art, cosplay, and other community contributions. This precedes the launch of Season 2, which introduces a highly anticipated new Zombies map: The Tomb. Season 2 also promises several quality-of-life improvements.

The Quad Feed Double XP event, active from January 15th to January 21st at 10am PT, offers double XP across the board:

• 2X GobbleGum earn rate
• 2X Player XP
• 2X Weapon XP
• 2X Battle Pass XP

This significant XP boost should assist players in maximizing their progress before Season 2's arrival. Beyond the XP event, Treyarch highlighted the dedicated Zombies community with a showcase of fan creations. Teasers for Season 2 included details on quality-of-life updates, Zombies Directed Mode statistics, and the first look at "The Tomb," the new Zombies map.

Despite positive developments, Black Ops 6 has faced challenges, including persistent hacking, bugs, controversial events, and features that have alienated some players. This has resulted in a significant player base decline on some platforms, such as Steam, losing nearly half its players since the October 2024 launch. The community hopes Season 2 will revitalize the game and address these ongoing issues.
