Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

by Emery May 13,2025

Tomorrow marks an exciting milestone for Monster Hunter Wilds enthusiasts as the game receives its inaugural Title Update, introducing quests that encourage competition for swift completion times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a stern warning against cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings. The company's commitment to fostering a fair and enjoyable gaming environment is evident in their proactive stance against fraudulent activities.

In a recent announcement on their X/Twitter account, Capcom emphasized, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found to be in violation may face suspension or restrictions, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests." This clear message underscores Capcom's dedication to maintaining the integrity of the game.

Furthermore, Capcom highlighted that players engaging in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could also face consequences, including invalidated quest completion times and forfeiture of rewards for the entire party. The company advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," and encouraged players to report any observed cheating.

The new quests will offer enticing rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants, some of which are awarded to all participants, while others depend on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This reward structure explains Capcom's stringent measures to combat cheating, ensuring that the rewards and completion times remain legitimate and fair for all players.

These competitive quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter at the Grand Hub in Suja, which becomes available after completing a special tutorial mission. Players are encouraged to head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 launches in Monster Hunter Wilds.
