Carrion the Reverse Horror Game That Lets You Hunt, Consume and Evolve Drops on Mobile Soon!

Devolver Digital's impressive Android game library, boasting titles like GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones, is about to get even better. The acclaimed "reverse-horror" game, Carrion, is making its mobile debut on October 31st.

Initially released for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, Carrion offers a unique take on the horror genre. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, the mobile version promises the same chilling experience.

Carrion Mobile: A Horror from a Different Perspective

In Carrion, you embody a terrifying creature straight from a nightmare – you are the horror. Control a mysterious, red, amorphous blob as it slithers, claws, and devours everything in its path. This "reverse-horror" game flips the script; instead of surviving terror, you are the terror.

The game begins with this monstrous entity contained within a high-security Relith Science research facility. Scientists have experimented on its DNA, attempting to control it. But their efforts have backfired, leading to a vengeful escape. Your goal: escape the facility by any means necessary, consuming scientists, security guards, and anyone who stands in your way.

Explore the facility, navigating vents, smashing doors, and using your tentacles to hunt. Carrion's mobile version retains the PC experience, allowing you to unleash chaos and destruction. As you progress, you'll unlock upgrades, enhancing your ability to break through obstacles and increase your size.

Fans of Metroidvania-style games will find much to appreciate in Carrion's blend of exploration and progression. The pixel art style gives the game a surprisingly charming aesthetic, despite the gory content.

Carrion on mobile offers a free trial. Unlock the full game and its DLC with a single in-app purchase. Pre-register on the Google Play Store or download it directly on October 31st.
