Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 introduces significant quality-of-life improvements to the Zombies mode. Key updates include a highly-requested co-op pause feature, allowing players in the same party to pause the game for strategic discussions or breaks during intense high-round gameplay. This addresses a long-standing player request.
Another significant addition is AFK Kick Loadout Recovery. Players kicked for inactivity can now rejoin the match with their original loadout intact, mitigating the frustration of losing progress and equipment.
Further enhancing the user experience are separate HUD presets for Zombies and Multiplayer. Players can now customize their HUD for each mode independently, eliminating the need to constantly readjust settings when switching between them.
Finally, a new challenge tracking system allows players to manually track up to 10 Calling Card and 10 Camo Challenges per mode, simplifying progress monitoring. The system also highlights near-completion challenges, encouraging players to finish them. These features, along with the new Tomb map, are launching with Season 2 on January 28, 2025.
