Code Geass Mobile Ends Odyssey

The strategic tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ceasing global mobile operations. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are slated for closure. Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, published by Komoe, and based on the popular Code Geass franchise, the game's global launch in September 2023 was short-lived.

Closure Date:

Code Geass: Lost Stories will officially shut down on August 29th, 2024. Account access will be terminated on this date, and all official global social media channels will also be closed. Downloads and in-app purchases are already disabled.

Reasons for Closure:

While no official reason has been given, the game's low download numbers and generally unfavorable global reviews likely contributed to the decision. Many licensed anime gacha games struggle to maintain a substantial player base outside Japan due to lower spending habits in other regions. The game's relatively short lifespan isn't entirely unexpected given this trend.

Japanese players can still access the game via the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Sky: Children of the Light's Tournament of Triumph!
