Dead by Daylight's Terrifying Junji Ito Collection: Eight New Skins
The asymmetrical horror multiplayer game, Dead by Daylight (DbD), is thrilled to announce a chilling collaboration with legendary Japanese horror manga artist, Junji Ito. This partnership brings eight terrifying new character skins inspired by Ito's iconic works to the game.
A Collection of Nightmares
For 40 years, Junji Ito has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique, macabre stories and surrealist art style. Now, his creations are brought to life in the "ultimate horror collaboration" with Dead by Daylight.
The collection features skins based on Ito's most famous works, including "Tomie," "Hanging Balloons," and "Rumors." Killers receiving new skins include The Dredge, The Trickster, The Twins, The Spirit, and The Artist. The Spirit and The Artist will boast Legendary rarity skins, complete with unique audio and sound effects. Specifically, The Spirit gets a Tomie skin, and The Artist a Miss Fuchi (from "Rumors") skin. Survivors Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson also receive new Ito-inspired outfits.
Junji Ito himself was involved in the process, expressing delight at seeing his characters adapted for the game. In a video shared on Dead by Daylight's official X (formerly Twitter) account, Ito reacted to the in-game skins, commenting on how terrifying they became in their video game incarnation. He even participated in a gameplay session, playing as The Artist with her Miss Fuchi skin.
The Junji Ito Collection launches January 7th, 2025, for Dead by Daylight on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
