Initially announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed to have an eight-episode first season. While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, it seems Dante, as depicted in the first three Devil May Cry games, will be the central figure, though connections to the games haven't been officially detailed. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video games, will be lending his voice to Dante.
The most recent Devil May Cry game, Devil May Cry 5 (2019), marked a triumphant return for the franchise after a period of relative inactivity following DmC: Devil May Cry (2013). Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action game, it's highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive Devil May Cry 5 review for a deeper dive.
