Elon Musk approves: Path of Exile 2 has received a major update and a handy name change feature

Path of Exile 2's developers have released a substantial update, version 0.1.1c, addressing several key issues and introducing welcome improvements. Here's a summary of the changes:

Bug Fixes and Improvements:

  • Resolved an issue preventing access to the Cartwalker Machine after transferring characters from solo league.
  • Addressed various bugs in local co-op mode where Player 2 could unlock Player 1's UI elements, such as high-level maps.
  • Fixed a bug in local co-op hindering Player 2's ability to quickly navigate between control points.

Increased Revivals:

  • The update introduces up to five revival attempts (depending on difficulty) in the following areas:
    • Distorted Possessions
    • The Olroth, Source of the Fall encounter
    • Essence of Nonexistence realm. Death before defeating the Host in The Mists will now revive players in the boss arena, restarting the fight.

New Feature:

  • Players can now rename their characters via the official website.

Grinding Gear Games continues to dominate the Steam charts following Path of Exile 2's launch. Despite initial challenges, the team's commitment to addressing player concerns and improving the game is evident in this significant update.
