Navigating the Kentucky BioTech Facility
The mission begins with Case and Marshall entering a Kentucky BioTech facility filled with toxic gas, necessitating gas masks. An elevator malfunction leads to a fall, gas mask breakage, and subsequent hallucinations. The player regains control after a cutscene.
Locating the Security Desk and Director's Cards
Explore the area until you find a locked red-lit door. Use a hatchet found on a mannequin to break it open. Proceed through the hallway, up the stairs, and to a central elevator. Activating the elevator triggers a zombie encounter (hallucination-induced). Eliminate the zombies with your hatchet. A phone call from the circular desk directs you to the biotechnology room, requiring four director's cards (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow). You'll initially receive a map to the Yellow card.
Acquiring the Yellow Card and Grappling Hook
Follow the map to a yellow staircase leading to the Director's office. Solve the computer puzzle ("Access" and "Lift"). More zombies appear; eliminate them. A mannequin holding the Yellow card transforms into an abomination upon approach. Before engaging, collect armor plates, weapons, and the crucial grappling hook from the surrounding area.
Use tactical explosives (C4 or grenades) to quickly eliminate the abomination and its zombie horde. Retrieve the Yellow Card from the abomination's remains.
Securing the Green Card
Use the grappling hook to ascend to the main facility. Next, obtain the Green Card from the Administration Facility. Grapple to the Administration Facility from the security desk. Answer the ringing phone. Find and place four documents in the file display area. Manequins will pursue; maintain distance by sprinting. Document locations: corner desk, left side near round table, center table near noticeboard, cafe near sink. Defeat the resulting Mangler Zombie to obtain the Green Card.
Obtaining the Blue Card
Grapple to the Joint Projects Facility. Answer the phone. Locate the Blue Card within the glass chamber. Eliminate the spawned Mimic (it can disappear; shoot moving objects to reveal it).
Retrieving the Red Card
Head to the East Wing, following red carpets to stairs. In the resulting room, interact with the console to reveal the Red Card held by a Mangler. Use the grappling hook to reach the upper area, swim through the red tunnel, and climb ladders. Eliminate zombies and unlock a door using a blacklight-revealed code. Drain the water by activating three switches (one in the initial room, one in the unlocked room, and one accessible via grappling hook). Defeat the Mangler and its horde to obtain the Red Card.
Confronting the Disciple
Insert all four cards into the security desk system. Take the elevator to the top floor. Eliminate any pursuing zombies. Answer the red phone and engage the final encounter with numerous zombies and the Disciple. The mission concludes with a hallucination sequence.
