Forspoken is not wanted even for free. The game divided the opinions of PS Plus users

Forspoken, despite its free PS Plus offering nearly a year post-release, continues to spark heated player discussions. Even those who accessed it for free are engaging in debates mirroring those of original purchasers regarding its value.

The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup announcement revealed surprisingly positive player anticipation for Forspoken, alongside Sonic Frontiers.

However, a significant portion of players abandoned Forspoken after just a few hours, citing poor storytelling and "ridiculous" dialogue. While others appreciated the combat, parkour, and gameplay mechanics, the overall sentiment suggests that the narrative and dialogue significantly detract from the experience.

PS Plus's free offering seems unlikely to revitalize Forspoken due to its inherent inconsistencies. The action RPG follows Frey, a New Yorker transported to the breathtaking yet perilous land of Atia. Armed with newfound magical abilities, Frey must navigate this vast region, battling monstrous creatures and powerful matriarchs known as Tants, all in a desperate quest to return home.
