The highly sought-after Paradigm skin made an unexpected comeback to the Fortnite item shop on August 6th, five years after its initial limited-time release, sending the player base into a whirlwind of excitement.
Initially, Epic Games attributed the skin's reappearance to a technical glitch, promising to remove it from players' inventories and provide refunds. However, a significant player outcry prompted a swift change of heart.
Within two hours of the initial announcement, Fortnite reversed course, declaring that players who purchased the Paradigm skin during its accidental return could keep it. The developers acknowledged the error, stating, "Bought Paradigm tonight? You can keep her. Her accidental return to the Shop is on us... so if you purchased The Paradigm during this evening's rotation, you can keep this Outfit and we'll refund your V-Bucks soon-ish."
To preserve the original exclusivity for those who obtained the skin during its first release, Fortnite committed to creating a unique, new variant exclusively for them.
