"Back to the Future Screenwriter Confirms No Prequel, Spinoff, or Sequel Ever"

The iconic *Back to the Future* franchise seems to have reached its end, as confirmed by its screenwriter, Bob Gale. Amidst growing speculation fueled by the success of *Cobra Kai*, a series that revived the *Karate Kid* saga, fans have been buzzing about a potential *Back to the Future* TV series. However, Gale, a co-creator of the beloved trilogy directed by Robert Zemeckis, has firmly shut down any hopes of a revival.

In a candid interview with People, Gale expressed his frustration with the constant queries about the franchise's future. "I don't know why they keep talking about that!" he exclaimed. "I mean, do they think that if they say it enough times, we're going to actually do it?" Gale made it clear that there will be no *Back to the Future 4*, no prequel, and no spinoff. "It's just fine the way it is. It's not perfect, but as Bob Zemeckis used to say, 'It's perfect enough,'" he added.

While Gale's stance is firm, he acknowledges that the power of Hollywood could potentially override his decision if it chose to revive the franchise. However, he humorously noted that it would take extreme measures to sway him and co-creator Steven Spielberg, who would also need to approve any new project. "If the juggernaut of corporate America or corporate international mishigas says, 'If you don't agree to this, we're going to kill your children,' alright, well, no, we don't want our children killed,'" Gale quipped.

Gale emphasized Spielberg's respect for their decision, stating, "Steven Spielberg, of course, he's got to sign off on it too. And Steven, just like Steven won't allow another E.T., he totally respects the fact that we don't want any more Back to the Future. He gets it and always stood behind that. And thank you, Steven."

Gale's stance is consistent with his previous remarks. Earlier in February, he bluntly told fans hoping for *Back to the Future 4*, "People always say, 'When are you going to do Back to the Future 4?' And we say, 'F**k you.'"
