Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards and Quests Arrive January 7th
Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is significantly upgrading its rewards program, introducing Quests for PC users and enhancing point-earning opportunities. However, these new features are exclusively for players aged 18 and older, reflecting Microsoft's focus on age-appropriate gaming experiences.
This update expands the previously Ultimate-exclusive Quests to include PC Game Pass subscribers. Players 18 and over with active Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscriptions can access Quests and the Rewards Hub through their profile. Earning points requires a minimum of 15 minutes of playtime in any Game Pass catalog title (excluding those using third-party launchers).
The revamped Game Pass Quests and Rewards system offers diverse ways to earn points:
- Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass game for at least 15 minutes.
- Weekly Streaks: Playing at least five days a week earns points, with multipliers increasing for consecutive weeks (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
- Monthly 4-Pack & 8-Pack: Explore the catalog by playing four (4-Pack) or eight (8-Pack) different games (15 minutes each) monthly. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
- PC Weekly Bonus: Players earn an additional 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes on five or more days of the week.
The Rewards Hub, accessible on Xbox consoles, the Windows PC Xbox app, and the mobile Xbox app, will no longer be available to users under 18. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate content, stating that younger players can only earn rewards through parentally approved purchases from the Microsoft Store.
