This would mark his first rerun after a year-long absence since his debut in Version 4.1. The ongoing challenge for Genshin Impact is balancing the vast roster of over 90 playable characters with the limited rerun slots available on Event Banners. Even with the introduction of the Chronicled Banner, designed to address this issue, the wait times for character reruns remain substantial, as evidenced by Shenhe's lengthy wait.
The current system, with approximately one 5-star character release per patch, creates a backlog of characters awaiting reruns. This shortage of rerun slots makes it difficult to provide fair and timely opportunities for all characters. Until the developers implement triple banners, extended wait times are likely to persist.
Wriothesley's potential rerun in Version 5.4, as reported by leaker Flying Flame, offers a glimmer of hope for players. His Cryo hypercarry capabilities and effective Burnmelt team compositions make him a desirable character. However, it's crucial to approach this leak with caution, as Flying Flame's track record isn't flawless. While their prediction of a new Chronicled Banner in Version 5.3 proved accurate, other leaks have been inaccurate.
Nevertheless, the recent Spiral Abyss buffs in Genshin Impact do benefit Wriothesley's playstyle, lending some credence to the rumor.
