After over two years of anticipation, PC players of Grand Theft Auto V are set to receive a major update that will bring the game's features mostly in line with the console versions. Scheduled for release on March 4, this update will incorporate elements from the native PS5 and Xbox Series versions that were launched in 2022. The good news for all current players is that this upgrade will be available at no additional cost, and their progress in both GTA Online and the Story Mode will seamlessly transfer over without any extra steps required.
The bulk of the upgrade focuses on enhancing GTA Online, bringing a substantial amount of content that was previously exclusive to console players. Moreover, PC gamers will now have access to the GTA+ subscription service, which offers a range of benefits including accelerated profit collection from in-game businesses. Alongside these additions, Rockstar Games has also bolstered the game's anti-cheat measures to ensure a fairer playing environment.

In addition to the new content, the update will introduce significant graphical improvements. However, this comes with a caveat: the system requirements for the game will increase. Players with hardware unable to meet these new standards will still have the option to continue playing the older version, which the developers have promised to keep supporting. It's important to note, however, that there will be no cross-version support, meaning players on different versions won't be able to play together. This is something to consider as you plan your gaming experience with the updated Grand Theft Auto V on PC.
