Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its immersive open-world hunting experience to a new platform. PC players are already familiar with its realistic gameplay. Originally released by Nine Rocks Games for PC and consoles in August 2022, the mobile port is currently in beta testing.
What to Expect in the Mobile Version:
While some graphical adjustments are expected due to the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay, including DLC content, will be included post-launch. THQ Nordic and HandyGames are preparing for a soon-to-be-announced release. A closed beta test is underway; interested players can register via a form on HandyGames' official X account.
A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with strategic gameplay and realistic animal behavior. Set in expansive open-world environments inspired by the US and Europe (55 square miles!), the game offers a wide array of authentic hunting weapons and tools. Detailed tracking mechanics, including blood splatter analysis, add to the realism.
The game features a dynamic ecosystem where actions have consequences. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are available, and the mobile version will offer full controller support.
