How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors Origins

by Aiden Feb 23,2025

In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, managing health is crucial, especially for newcomers. This guide explains how to heal effectively.

Players heal using meat buns, a consumable item. These are obtained by destroying pots near enemy bases, and, on Historian and Wayfarer difficulty levels, from defeated enemy officers. Note: Officers do not drop meat buns on Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties.

To use a meat bun, press Up on the D-pad. If your inventory is full upon acquiring a meat bun, it's automatically consumed (unless you're at full health). Initially, you can carry three meat buns, but this limit increases with the Meat Bun Glutton skill.

For hands-free healing, enable the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option in the Configuration menu. This automatically consumes meat buns when your health drops below a threshold. Manual healing remains possible even with auto-use enabled.

Mastering this simple healing mechanic will significantly improve your survival chances in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
