Elon Musk has found himself at the center of controversy after being accused of using a "booster" service to level up a character to 97 in Path of Exile 2. The allegations surfaced following a detailed 32-minute video by streamer Asmongold, who questioned Musk's ability to reach such a high level given his demanding roles at SpaceX, Tesla, and X. Asmongold highlighted the extensive time commitment required to achieve level 97, casting doubt on Musk's gaming prowess.
Further fueling the controversy, players noted Musk's apparent lack of game knowledge during his streams, which seemed inconsistent with someone who had allegedly leveled a character from zero to 97. In response to these accusations, Musk shared private messages with Asmongold, suggesting that the streamer also has to "coordinate with the boss" and consult with a team of editors before publishing content on the X network.
Asmongold clarified that he does not have a boss and that the editors he works with are employed by him, a common practice among YouTube and Twitch streamers. This arrangement allows content creators to focus on producing content while leaving the editing to professionals. Asmongold remarked that Musk's comments only underscored his lack of understanding of the content creation process behind the scenes.
