Jak & Daxter: Precursor Legacy Power Cells Guide

by Jack Mar 12,2025

After conquering Fire Canyon's intense Zoomer levels, *Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy* offers a breather with Precursor Basin's less perilous, yet arguably more challenging, vehicle section. While less deadly, the Basin's intricate objectives demand mastery of the Zoomer. Aspiring trophy hunters must conquer its trials to collect every item.

Herd the Moles into their Holes

Begin your Precursor Basin adventure by guiding lost moles back to their burrows. Simply use the Zoomer to gently nudge them towards their homes. Utilize the Zoomer's hop for sharp turns, keeping pace with the fleeing moles. Herding four moles rewards you with a Power Cell from the Geologist in Rock Village. But don't rush off—explore the area fully before moving on!

Catch the Flying Lurkers

These elusive creatures dart around the same area as the moles, fleeing at the Zoomer's approach. Chase them down, strategically cutting them off at turns to successfully ram into them. The final Lurker drops a Power Cell.

Beat Record Time on the Gorge

Gorge Racecourse

The Gambler in Rock Village needs your help beating the Gorge's 45-second record. This short but demanding racecourse is near Precursor Basin's entrance (hug the right wall to find it). Utilize Lurkers for higher jumps, and strategically collect Blue Eco for speed boosts. Avoid Dark Eco Crates to maintain speed. Master the sharp turns and hops, especially the 180-degree turn at the pit. A sub-40-second time earns you a trophy! Completing the course rewards a Power Cell from the Gambler.

Get the Power Cell Over the Lake

Locate the Power Cell floating over the lake. Starting from the slope (familiar from the Lurker chase), navigate the narrow bridges and utilize hops to cross gaps between islands. A final hop from a raised area gets you to the Power Cell.

Cure the Dark Eco Infected Plants

Charge with Green Eco and drive through the purple plants to cure them. Speed and precision are key, as plants regrow if you take too long. Use the hop for sharp turns and the Green Eco Vent to refill your supply. A Power Cell is your reward.

Navigate the Purple Precursor Rings

Race through the appearing Purple Precursor Rings before time runs out. The most challenging sections involve airborne rings requiring precise hops and timing. Successfully completing the course grants a Power Cell.

Navigate the Blue Precursor Rings

Blue Precursor Rings - Pillar

The Blue Precursor Rings present a tougher challenge. The course starts near the lake's Power Cell. Master tricky hops, especially over the lake and off a hill near the Dark Eco Plants. Precise turns are crucial throughout the course. Successfully completing the course grants a Power Cell.
