The Eldgear Story
Argenia, a land teeming with hundreds of nations in an unexplored region, is on the brink of chaos as a new magical era dawns. The discovery of ancient ruins containing incredibly powerful technology sparks a fierce war, which eventually subsides, leaving behind a fragile peace and a constant threat of renewed conflict.
Enter Eldia, a global task force at the heart of the story. Their mission: prevent these ancient weapons and machines from unleashing another devastating war. They meticulously research, monitor, and control access to these dangerous ruins to maintain order.
Gameplay Mechanics
Eldgear's combat is strategically rich, employing a turn-based system that offers a multitude of tactical options. The game's unique mechanics add depth:
- EMA (Embedding Abilities): Equip three abilities per unit, usable at any time. These abilities range from stat boosts to tactical options like Stealth or bodyguard functions.
- EXA (Expanding Abilities): Unleash devastating special attacks by maximizing your Tension gauge during battles.
